Zvezda IS-2 Heavy Tank Plastic Model Kit HC-Z3708

The Zvezda IS-2 Heavy Tank, part number HC-Z3708, is a 1:35 scale plastic model kit representing the Soviet heavy tank developed in late 1943. The kit contains 469 parts and builds into a model measuring 28.1cm in length, with a decal sheet included for finishing the completed vehicle.

The IS-2 was created by Soviet engineers using experience gained from tank combat during the earlier years of the war. It combined a 122mm gun with substantial armour and manoeuvrability, making it suitable for use against enemy heavy tanks and during assaults on cities and fortified positions. The tank was continually modernised during production, and vehicles made between December 1944 and February 1945 received a gun locking device at the rear together with smoke grenade mounts.

This release uses 100% new moulding and is unrelated to the existing Zvezda IS-2 kit, Z3524. Its 1:35 scale and detailed multi-part construction provide a substantial assembly project based on this significant Soviet armoured vehicle.
