About The Frecce Tricolori

The 313th Gruppo Addestramento Acrobatico of the Italian Air Force – the Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale “Frecce Tricolori” – is based at Rivolto in northern Italy and was officially formed in 1961. The team initially flew the Canadair CL-13 Sabre, later adopting the Fiat G-91 PAN. Today it flies the two-seat fighter‑trainer Aermacchi MB-339 A and remains one of the largest aerobatic teams, operating more than ten aircraft. In 2021, to mark its 60th anniversary, the MB-339 fleet appeared in special liveries celebrating the historic acrobatic patrols of the 1950s.
