Italeri FIAT CR.42 CN Falco Night Fighter 1:72 (HC-1485)

Developed from the successful C.R. 32 “Freccia”, the FIAT C.R. 42 “Falco” carried forward the classic single‑seat biplane fighter layout with fixed landing gear and an open cockpit, while introducing a modernised aluminium and steel structure with metal and fabric covering. Powered by the air‑cooled Fiat A.74 radial engine, it achieved a top speed of around 400 km/h and earned a reputation for exceptional manoeuvrability, though it inevitably faced the performance limits of biplane designs versus newer monoplane fighters. A dedicated Night Fighter variant featured extended exhausts to reduce visibility during nocturnal operations.
