Italeri Lav-25 Tua

The Italeri HC-6588 LAV-25 TUA is a detailed model kit of the US Marine Corps anti-tank variant of the renowned LAV family. Supplied with rubber tyres and a colour instructions sheet for clear assembly guidance, it focuses on the distinctive T.U.A. (Tow-Under-Armor) fit. Figure not included.

About The LAV-25 TUA

The LAV-25 is an 8-wheel drive armoured vehicle with notable amphibious capability, used by the US Marine Corps for reconnaissance and infantry support since the early 1980s. Entering service in 1983, it saw action in Desert Storm (1991), Restore Hope (1993), Enduring Freedom (2001) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003). Powered by a diesel engine capable of propelling the vehicle to around 100 km/h, and featuring independent wheel suspension for effective all-terrain mobility, it has been produced in several variants.

The anti-tank TUA version is equipped with the Emerson T.U.A. 901A1 system, mounting TOW-2 guided missiles in a rotating turret with thermal and visual target identification. Designed to support Marine reconnaissance units, this variant provides effective capability against heavily armoured enemy battle tanks.
