Italeri Macchi C.200 Aircraft Model Kit HC-2516

The Italeri Macchi C.200 HC-2516 is a 1:32 scale aircraft model kit depicting the Italian fighter aircraft used during the Second World War. Designed by Mario Castoldi, the Macchi C.200 marked a move away from the biplanes that had formed the backbone of Italian fighter units towards a monoplane design with an all-metal construction.

The original aircraft was powered by a 14-cylinder, twin-row Fiat A.74 RC.38 radial engine producing 840 hp, giving it a maximum speed of up to 500 km/h. Its armament comprised two 12.7 mm Breda-SAFAT machine guns mounted above the engine cowling, while later versions added two 7.7 mm Breda-SAFAT guns in the wings. The Macchi C.200 served with the Regia Aeronautica in North Africa, the Mediterranean, the Balkans and on the Eastern Front in Russia.

Model Features

This kit uses 100% new moulds to represent the Macchi C.200. It includes a six-version decal sheet, allowing the finished model to depict different aircraft schemes. A 3D decal set, masking sheet and photo-etched fret are also supplied for additional surface and cockpit details. The kit is presented with a fasteners bag for its components.
