Description
J Perkins Fine Scatter Dark Green (JS12), part number 5546480, is an extra-fine tarmac ballast scatter for model-making scenery. This dark green scatter is part of the Javis Model Railway scenic collection and can be used as ground cover across model railway layouts, wargaming terrain and miniature figure bases.
The fine texture is intended to represent tarmac, asphalt and other fine-grit surfaces in miniature scenes. It can also be combined with other colours and scenic materials to create varied ground textures, layered surfaces and weathering effects. Its loose scatter format allows the coverage and finish to be adjusted to suit the project and scale.
Using the Scatter
To apply the material, spread PVA adhesive over the area to be covered, then sprinkle the scatter across the glue. Allow the adhesive to cure fully before brushing away any loose material. This method helps secure the dark green scatter to scenery, terrain pieces and figure bases while leaving the surface texture visible.
The extra-fine consistency makes this material suitable for suggested use across a range of miniature scales. It may be used on its own for a consistent surface or blended with other scenic products for more varied results. The 40g quantity provides loose scatter for model railway and hobby scenery projects.
