The HPI Nitro Star G3.0 Engine with Pullstart (SG crank) – part number HPI-15105 – delivers fast, durable and easy-to-adjust performance for 1/10 scale nitro models. Built using the latest construction techniques, this 3.01cc glow engine offers strong power and reliable running for demanding RC applications.
A composite F2 6.5mm carburettor provides consistent fuel delivery and tuning response, while the cooling head and proven internals support high revs. The G3.0 produces up to 2.2PS (2.17hp) at 31,000 rpm and is capable of a maximum 32,000 rpm.

That depends a little on what version of the MT-2 you have.
If it's an MT-2 G3.0 then yes, this should drop straight in. If it's an older MT-2 then this should drop in with the addition of the HPI-86000 engine mount.
