ICM OV-10D+ Bronco Aircraft Model Kit HC-ICM72186

The ICM OV-10D+ Bronco - US attack and observation aircraft model kit, part number HC-ICM72186, is a 1:72 scale plastic kit representing the modified OV-10D+ used by the US Marine Corps. It depicts an aircraft developed from the OV-10A Bronco, with changes to the engine, avionics, communications systems, airframe and cockpit equipment.

The OV-10D+ was designed to carry out observation and attack missions in both daylight and darkness. Its extended nose housed a FLIR infrared system and laser target designators, while protective devices were fitted to the tail beams against surface-to-air missiles. The aircraft could monitor ground targets, guide attack aircraft and strike ground targets when required. OV-10D+ aircraft were used during Operation Desert Storm in 1991.

The kit includes four marking choices covering US Marine Corps aircraft associated with Marine Observation Squadrons 1 and 2. These represent aircraft operating from USS Theodore Roosevelt and in Saudi Arabia during 1990 and 1991, alongside an early-1990s VMO-1 option.
