Developed with input from Reedy’s international racing team, the Sonic 540-M4 Driver Edition 6.5T Modified (AS27492) pairs the proven M4 platform with the AS27447 low-strength rotor to deliver a smoother, more consistent throttle feel that can help reduce lap-time variance. Technically identical to the standard 540-M4 aside from the rotor choice, this DE (Driver Edition) version carries full ROAR, EFRA, BRCA, and IFMAR approval.

Engineered for competition, the 540-size brushless motor combines a CNC-machined lightweight can with optimised cooling, low-resistance solder tabs, and adjustable timing. It supports 1–2S LiPo power and features dual precision ball bearings and a balanced rotor for efficiency and reliability. Reedy’s M4 range includes multiple popular “dirt” winds, with potential for more to follow.
