The Seagull Nieuport 28 1/5 Scale (SEA-303) captures the elegance of the 1917 French fighter in a practical, flyable ARTF package. With a 1.72m (68in) wingspan, laser-cut balsa/ply construction and a premium Oracover finish, this large sport scale model blends presence with everyday usability. A generous removable top hatch, plug-in four-piece wing and pull-pull rudder system make assembly and field setup straightforward. Seagull’s big and beautifully finished airframe comes with thoughtful sport scale touches, including a detailed cockpit with a hand-painted pilot and scale-effect Vickers guns. Hardware, engine mount, fuel tank and a full electric conversion kit with an adjustable motor stand-off are included, alongside wing transport frames to protect the panels between flights. A solid choice for intermediate to advanced pilots flying at designated R/C model sites.

Lightweight and manoeuvrable, The Nieuport 28 first flew in June 1917. It was the first fighter from the company to employ a standard two-spar wing. The streamlined fuselage was too slim for twin Vickers guns, so one has to be mounted to the fuselage side. After WW1, some went to the USA with a few entering races, albeit with shortened wings!
Seagull's model is big and beautiful with a laser-cut balsa/ply structure, expertly covered in genuine Oracover. Add some nice sport scale touches and you've a very practical model for all seasons.
