The supplied hard EVA case provides storage and protection, while the vacuum pump is intended to help simplify shock assembly and remove air bubbles quickly.

The stated suggested compatibility covers 1/10 and 1/8 on-road, sedan, touring and drift car shocks. The unit operates at a pressure of -50 kPa and requires a separate 5V to 8.4V DC power source.
