Tamiya Spray Paint TS-50 Mica Blue is a fast-curing synthetic lacquer formulated for efficient coverage on plastic model kits. Supplied in a 100ml aerosol, it offers smooth, even coats and rich mica blue colour suitable for large surfaces. Part number HC-85050 from Tamiya provides enough paint to fully cover two or three 1/24 scale car bodies, depending on application.

TS paints are not affected by acrylic or enamel paints, making them ideal as a durable base coat. After the TS layer has cured, details can be added with enamel and/or acrylic paints to simplify and enhance finishing on plastic models.

These cans of spray paint are extremely useful for painting large surfaces. The paint is synthetic lacquer that cures in a short period of time. Each can contains 100ml of paint, which is enough to fully cover two or three 1/24 scale sized car bodies. Tamiya spray paints are not affected by acrylic or enamel paints; therefore, following an overall base coat, details can be added or picked out using enamel and/or acrylic paints. By combining the use of these three types of paints, the finishing of plastic models becomes simpler and more effective.

Does this paint require a clear coat?I am painting a tamiya nissan skyline 1/24 kit

It will give a decent glossy finish if you do wet coats and flat it and then polish it however you could clear coat to give it more depth and a high gloss finish.

HC-85013 is standard clear coat, or HC-85065 for pearl clear
