Tamiya US M60 A3 Tank Ltd

Tamiya’s US M60A3 Tank Ltd (HC-35140) captures a key U.S. armoured vehicle of the 1980s. The real M60A3 combined a cast iron chassis derived from the M48 series with a cast turret carrying a 105mm gun. A thermal sleeve helped prevent barrel distortion, while a laser rangefinder and ballistic computer provided advanced fire-control capability. Production began in 1978, with approximately 3,600 vehicles serving for more than two decades.

This 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit faithfully reproduces the M60A3’s rounded cast turret and lower hull with convincing cast texture. Build options include fitting the main gun with or without the thermal sleeve, posing crew hatches open or closed, and a movable driver’s hatch. Authentic suspension is recreated using separate parts, and belt-type tracks aid straightforward assembly. Finished dimensions: length 270mm, width 104mm.
