1) Is the Traxxas 2 amp 240 v charger compatible with the TRX 2950X battery pack? 2) is there an adapter lead to allow the use of an existing battery charger with multi chemistry support and balance boards?

If the charger is for nimh it will be fine , there is not an adaptor for traxxas batteries on normal chargers.

No, this will charge NiMh batteries with a TRX connector.
For charging that receiver pack you'd be better with say NX83

It will charge TRX ID NIMh batteries yes, but only at 2A.
