The real Mercedes‑Benz 320 (W142), introduced in 1937, featured a six‑cylinder engine of 3.2 or 3.4 litres with 78 horsepower, independent suspension and hydraulic brakes. The Cabriolet B was a long‑wheelbase, four‑seat, two‑door body with four side windows and a folding soft roof—represented here with the top in the down position.
