The Volantex Ranger 600mm Stunt Edition RTF (V761-2S) is a 4-channel EPP RC glider with ailerons and the Xpilot gyro stabiliser system. Its slightly flattened wing and nimble control response help deliver stable flight and easy aerobatics, even in light wind, while remaining approachable for beginner pilots.

The Volantex RC Ranger 600 Stunt edition is a 600mm wingspan RC stunt plane with excellent performance. Due to the xpilot stabiliser system, with an over-grade powerful motor system, the plane is stable, reacts nimbly and is able to do aerobatics even in light wind conditions.
This model is different to the regular white foam Ranger 600 because it has an Aileron servo / 4 Channel. The wings have also been flattened slightly which changes the flight characteristics.
“Lighter is easier”. A lighter RC airplane is easier to fly. The durable but light EPP material provides superb flight control, making it easy for beginner pilots to get started.
3-level flight control assists: Beginner level with full assist, Intermediate with partial assist and Expert for manual control, which help you learn to fly step by step. In the beginner mode, the gyro system helps stability even in windy weather.
Volantex RC models are compatible with the Radiomaster TX16S and other 4in1 radio systems that support the V761 protocol.

The Ranger 600 was recommended by the excellent staff of 'Wheelspin' as the ideal beginners plane- no wheels to tip it forward on landing, no front prop to get broken, and easily handled with a stabilising mechanism in beginners mode. Although, as the 'Stunt' version, it can easily stretch you as you improve. I wasn't so keen on the black & dark green colour scheme which makes it hard to find in a bush! I got a spare battery as they only last about 15-20 minutes, although I always try to gain height with the motor before turning it right down and just glide down- so 2 batteries can last me 60-90 minutes. Smaller than I thought, but that makes it easy to store and transport as a first glider!
