Zvesda’s German Heavy 4.5T Truck Merc 4500S (HC-Z3596) is a new-tooling plastic model kit depicting the L4500 series cargo truck widely employed by German forces during World War II.
Originally developed for civilian use, the medium 4.5t L4500 served on both Western and Eastern fronts. Between 1939 and 1944, approximately 9,500 were produced for the Wehrmacht. Powered by a 7.2 litre diesel engine rated at 112 hp, the L4500 family was built in two basic versions: the S with 2-wheel drive and the A with 4-wheel drive.
