Zvesda Stug IV

The Zvesda StuG IV model kit (HC-Z3661) captures the formidable German Sturmgeschütz IV assault gun, developed on the proven Pz.Kpfw. IV chassis. Designed to accompany advancing infantry, the vehicle delivered direct fire against fortifications and firing points, and proved effective in ambushes against enemy armour.

Reflecting the real vehicle’s battlefield role and efficiencies, the StuG IV mounted a 75 mm gun and omitted a rotating turret, making it cheaper to produce and 0.5 m lower than typical tanks—an advantage that reduced the likelihood of return fire finding its mark. From December 1943 to April 1945, a total of 1,141 units were built across three German factories.
