Zvezda Soviet Tank Hunters With Dogs HC-Z3611

Zvezda Soviet Tank Hunters With Dogs HC-Z3611 is a 1:35 scale model kit depicting three Soviet soldiers and three dogs in different poses. The set represents Soviet anti-tank dog units developed during the 1930s as a form of infantry support for tank-hunting operations.

These units were created when the Red Army lacked sufficient dedicated anti-tank weapons. The dogs were trained to run beneath enemy armoured vehicles while carrying explosives activated by a timer or by contact. Their intended role was to supplement conventional anti-tank capability rather than replace it.

The subject also reflects the difficulties faced by these units in practice. Battlefield confusion, the challenges of training and harsh front-line conditions limited their effectiveness. This model set provides a way to represent this lesser-known aspect of early-war Soviet military history in a 1:35 scale scene or collection.
