Build a 1:72 replica of the Soviet KV-2 heavy tank with the Zvesda KV-2 model kit (HC-Z5084). Representing the 1941 variant developed at the Leningrad Kirov Plant and equipped with a 152mm howitzer, this compact kit finishes at 9.6cm in length and includes markings for two Soviet schemes.
Based on combat experience in the Finnish War, the KV-2 was created to defeat fortified positions on the Mannerheim Line. From autumn 1940 to June 1941, 180 examples were produced at LKZ. Although most were lost in the heavy fighting of 1941, at least one vehicle of the Leningrad Front fought at Nevsky Pyatachok and later took part in the Krasnoborskaya offensive in 1943.

In August-September 1940, the ‘big lowered’ turret of lightweight design was created at the LKZ. From autumn 1940 to June 1941, 180 tanks of this type were assembled at the LKZ. This is the KV-2 tank of 1941, which this model copies. Almost all KV-2s were lost in the heavy battles of 1941, but at least one tank of the Leningrad Front managed to fight on the ‘Nevsky Pitachok’ in the winter of 1941, and then participated in the Krasnoborskaya offensive operation of 1943, where it had a chance to meet German ‘Tigers’.
