Description
The FTX Ruffneck (FTX5472) is a high-performance 1/10 trail crawler built around a twin-rail carbon-fibre LCG chassis for impressive stability and control. A 6/4 counter-weight layout and smart radio/electronics positioning help keep the centre of gravity low, boosting capability over technical terrain.
Power comes from the integrated Hobbywing 30A 2200kv All-in-One FOC system, delivering outstanding low-speed torque, linear throttle response and smooth control. With the motor and ESC combined into a compact unit, the chassis layout stays clean and lightweight.
CNC aluminium components feature throughout, including front and rear axle housings, steering hubs, motor mount and lower centre chassis plate. Steel CVA front shafts and steel centre driveshafts handle the demands of the reduction transmission, which uses metal gears and a steel reduction shaft for a final drive ratio of 37:1. Steering is managed by an Etronix 15kg metal-geared waterproof servo mounted on a brass SOA plate with a 25T metal horn. Threaded, adjustable aluminium shocks, hidden body mounts, LED headlights and super-tacky lug tyres complete the semi-scale truck body for confident crawling performance.

The Ruffneck is your new high-performance crawler that features a twin rail carbon-fibre LCG (Low Centre of Gravity) chassis design with lightweight 6/4 counter-weight radio positioning of electronics for a super capable crawler. Featuring the Hobbywing 30A 2200kv All-in-One FOC Power System, this unit provides unparalleled low-speed torque, linearity and smoothness. The integrated design of motor and ESC reduces volume and weight for a simpler and cleaner chassis layout.
CNC aluminium chassis parts come as standard on the Ruffneck, with front and rear axles, motor plate, lower centre chassis plate and steering hubs all machined to the highest quality. Steel front CVA driveshafts and centre driveshafts handle the torque from the reduction drive transmission which features metal gears and steel reduction shaft with a final drive ratio of 37:1 for those steep, slow inclines.
An Etronix 15kg metal geared steering servo is mounted to a brass SOA (Servo Over Axle) mounting plate, matched up with a metal servo horn. Threaded, adjustable aluminium shock absorbers wrap things up before the detailed, semi-scale truck body is mounted via hidden mounts. Super tacky lug tyres provide traction in the worst conditions.
