HPI WR8 Flux - 2001 WRC Subaru IMPREZA

We're delighted to announce the return of the ever popular WR8 family, in the form of the classic 2001 WRC Subaru Impreza, piloted to win the Driver's Championship 20 years ago in 2001! Any rally fan will will recognise the illustrious blue and yellow livery as one of the most recognisable in the sport, and what better way to herald the return of HPI's fan favourite rally platform than with a classic Subaru Impreza!

The perfect mix of heritage and all-out epic action
The Subaru World Rally Team first hit the track in 1989 and went on to grab a record 46 rally wins with the Impreza and multiple Constructors' and Drivers' Championships, competing in the WRC longer than any other manufacturer team in their current form. Subaru used the team to showcase its all wheel drive technology and thrill spectators with the ferocious nature of the vehicle. 

How fitting then that under the officially licensed replica body, the 1/8th 4WD shaft driven WR8 is ready to go to work thrashing down the lanes in true WRC style. Powered by your choice of NITRO or brushless FLUX power!  

For some time now, fans of the WR8 have been demanding that it be brought back once again so that they can enjoy the unique on-road / off-road rampage this platform delivers. Based on the chassis of the HPI Bullet Monster Truck, there really is no better rally vehicle on the RC market. What better way to herald its return than to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Late Richard Burns' WRC Drivers' Championship win.

The HPI Racing WR8 is crammed with awesome features that enhance its durability anywhere you want to take it, including a high ground clearance, skidplate, foam front bumper, optimized rally-style suspension geometry, custom-designed shock towers and dampers, shock debris guards, mud deflectors on the chassis plus extra-thick sway bars for extra control! It's the ideal machine to race your friends on rally stages and multi-surface tracks, or anywhere you like!

The WR8 FLUX is powered by a massive 4000KV brushless motor and waterproof 3S-capable speed controller, delivering power through tough metal gear differentials and the fully ball bearing-supported 4WD shaft drivetrain. If instant torque is your thing then the FLUX MMH-4000 motor delivers massive power at the blip of the throttle. Whilst the FLUX EMH-3S electronic speed control is able to handle the latest, 3S LiPo batteries in its stride.
