The Savox SW1210SG+ (part number SAV-SW1210SG+) is a high-performance waterproof digital servo designed for precision and durability. A coreless motor, steel gear train and high-resolution control deliver smooth, consistent response in all weather. It produces 20 kg-cm and 0.15 s/60° at 6.0V, steps up to 32 kg-cm and 0.13 s at 7.4V, and reaches 37 kg-cm and 0.12 s at 8.4V. A part aluminium case helps manage heat for reliable running over long sessions.

With dual ball bearings, a 25-tooth spline and low power consumption, the SW1210SG+ balances speed, strength and efficiency for demanding RC use. The “+” variant adds Soft Start Mode and Sanwa SSR compatibility.

Hi will the Savox sw 1210sg + be a suitable upgrade to my Traxxas trx4 defender and will it need and extra connectors or modifications Regards Andy

This will work for you and be a good upgrade, we find that the lead may be tight on length so advise getting a servo extension lead like this ET0732

Yes this would work with that car but you would need a 25t servo horn, as the car has a 23 on it.

Is a BEC required with this item on a TRX4

It is recommended for such a high torque servo but we do know people run without but this may cause esc or receiver problems with time.
