Wheelspin Models Review of the Traxxas X MAXX:

The Traxxas X Maxx is a ground up redesign from the brains at Traxxas, and in one word - it's simply AWESOME!

For starters, it's huge. Much bigger than an E-MAXX, with huge oversized wheels and tyres to clamber over anything in your path.  It's also quick; powered by an all new oversized Traxxas brushless motor designed specifically for the Traxxas X MAXX.  Even back when we at Wheelspin saw the first pre-production model of the X MAXX, we knew it was going to be one of our best selling RC monster trucks.

The Traxxas X MAXX brings a new stance to the RC monster truck arena.  Rather than concentrating on anything else, it seems Traxxas have just set themselve the challenge of designing the most fun vehicle ever! Sure, you can buy a truck that might be a bit quicker in a straight line, or shave a few tenths off your fastest lap time - but if you're looking for all out fun then the Traxxas X MAXX is definitely the truck for you!

We also like the new self-righting system built into the Traxxas X MAXX.  Whilst even we were skeptical at first, simply push the button on the transmitter, and X MAXX wobbles and "turtles" it's way back onto it's wheels in a matter of seconds! Traxxas claim it works "most" of the time; but in our tests we've struggled to find any instances where this won't work! A truly revolutionary feature and only availble on the Traxxas X MAXX!

Traxxas Description:

Traxxas X-MAXX is an all-new, clean-sheet design, engineered from the start to take Traxxas Tough to a whole new level. Unrelenting 4X4 power, mammoth size, and ferocious determination makes this mighty monster a truly worthy successor to the Maxx legacy.

Exclusive Self-Righting System

Before Traxxas X-Maxx, monster trucks would sometimes roll over upside down, bringing the action to a screeching halt. Now, press a button and in most cases this exclusive patent-pending Traxxas innovation flips X-Maxx back over onto its wheels so that you can quickly get back to having fun.

Size Wins!

The Traxxas X-Maxx is enormous. Size wins by giving you the advantage to power over and through extreme landscapes. Mammoth 8-inch tall tires, long-arm suspension, and huge ground clearance dwarf the surroundings for virtually unstoppable Monster truck fun.

Extreme Power

Wildly over-powered, the Traxxas X-Maxx stays true to form with its Maxx DNA. 8s 30+ volt dual-LiPo muscle and a Velineon 1200XL Big Block motor propel Traxxas X-Maxx with brutal authority and an exacting quickness that completely defies its enormous size.

Nick - 10th April 2017

Well I've had my X-MAXX for just over 11 hours and OMG what a machine. This is the most fun I've ever had with RC worth every penny.

How long will it last with 2x4S batteries?
Asked by Okii on 20th March 2017

That depends on what batteries you buy, however with the Traxxas 6700mah 4S batteries we'd estimat around 20-25 minutes runtime depending on your driving style.
