The HoBao Hyper ST RTR is a race-bred 1/8 nitro truggy built on the proven Hyper 7/8 buggy platform. Engineered for the demands of truggy racing, it blends strength, stability and sharp handling with an RTR specification that gets you on track quickly. Pre-assembled and factory-fitted with a MacStar .28 nitro engine, 2.4GHz radio system, a 9kg steering servo and a 6kg throttle/brake servo, the Hyper ST offers dependable control and punchy performance from the first pull.
The MacStar .28 features an oversized black cooling head separated from the head button by twin washers for user-friendly starting and consistent running. A tuned alloy silencer boosts power, while the lightweight clutch helps maximise drive to the wheels. The hard-anodised aluminium chassis, 4WD drivetrain and alloy oil dampers provide the durability and grip needed for rough off-road circuits, with front universal driveshafts and adjustable anti-roll bars enhancing precision. Now supplied with the Hyper ST Pro edition body shell, it sits lower with a more aggressive look.
Rolling on new HoBao truggy tyres and 6-spoke wheels, the Hyper ST RTR HBM7-ST couples rugged hardware with thoughtful details like a low-profile air filter, integrated towers and braces for extra strength, and a refined linkage system. It’s a solid choice for drivers stepping into 1/8 nitro truggy racing or returning to the class with a capable, reliable package.

Designed specifically with Truggy racing in-mind the 1/8th RTR Hyper ST Truggy is a stalwart of the ever expanding Truggy scene by storm.
This ST is based on the 1/8th rallycross buggyplatform, specifically the competition winning HoBao Hyper buggy range. Looking at it you can see a combination of both the Hyper 7 and 8 parts in there, as well as some brand new touches designed specifically for the truggy racing scene.
This is the Ready-To-Rip version, pre-assembled with MacStar .28 engine, radio and 9kg steering servo and 6kg throttle/brake.
The MacStar 28 has an enormous black cooling head which is seperated from the cylinder head button by 2 washers. This makes for a user friendly engine which is easy to start.The tuned alloy silencer bolsters the motors performance and the lightweight clutch offers good grip for maximum power transfer.

Great transition car from electric, a few small problems but those were mostly human error, great alternative to the HPI trophy truggy

I'd stick with a 6v rechargeable NiMh pack on these. The stock servos are not HV rated.
