Description

The Overlander XP2 40A SBEC Brushless Speed Controller (OL-2612) delivers smooth, reliable control for sensorless brushless power systems. Supporting 2–6S LiPo or 5–18 NiMH packs, it combines consistent 40A continuous output with a robust 4A/5V BEC and advanced protection features. Excellent startup behaviour, linear throttle response and a heli governor mode make it a versatile choice across a range of RC applications.

Key Features

  • Full protection including low voltage, over-heat, throttle signal loss, startup protection and self-check
  • Suggested compatibility with most sensorless brushless motors
  • Excellent startup performance, great throttle linearity and quick throttle response
  • Supports highest motor speeds: 210,000 RPM (2 poles), 70,000 RPM (6 poles), 35,000 RPM (12 poles)
  • Easy configuration with program card or ESC key
  • Automatic detection of throttle neutral point
  • Three timing modes to match different motors
  • Three start force adjustment modes
  • Governor mode for heli
  • Reverse motor direction

Specifications

  • Input voltage: 2–6 cell LiPo; 5–18 cell NiMH
  • Continuous current: 40A; Burst max: 55A (10 secs)
  • BEC output: 4A/5V
  • Dimensions: 68 x 25 x 12 mm
  • Weight: 42 g
  • Low resistance PCB
  • Blue motor wire: 14AWG
  • Red and black battery wires: 12AWG

Notes

  • Manufacturers recommend limiting servo count to roughly 1 servo per 1A of BEC output.
  • Overlander advises considering a separate RX pack or an uprated UBEC when using 4 servos or more.

Overlander XP2 40A SBEC Brushless Speed Controller ESC BRAND: OVERLANDER PART NUMBER: OL-2612 Is it a deans connector or XT-60 or none ??? I cant see in the description
Jeff Smith / 12th July 2022

This would not have any connector on it.

Si @ Wheelspin Models
Hi, can you use two of the Overlander 40amp speed controllers for a twin motor set eg- Twinstar ll with two eflite brushless motors? Regards , Richard
Richard / 25th September 2018

Yes, that should work fine with a suitable Y lead setup.

Ideally however you'd use a multi channel receiver and a radio system with mixing.
