Tamiya Hotshot II Blockhead Motors

The Tamiya Hotshot II Blockhead Motors (HC-58710) revisits the classic 58062 Hotshot II from 1987 in collaboration with Jun Watanabe’s Blockhead Motors. Inspired by the custom aesthetic seen on the 58695 Wild One Off-Road Blockhead Motors, this 1/10 scale R/C assembly kit gains a fresh livery and a host of detail parts to capture an authentic 1980s buggy vibe.

The 0.7 mm polycarbonate body comes pre-cut and pre-painted in bright blue for a sharp, uniform finish straight from the box. A higher-positioned roll-bar and updated upper frame create a raised driver position for added realism, while matte metal-plated uprights and wheels enhance the premium look. To complete the style, the kit includes number plates, light holders, side plates, window grilles and a dummy antenna, plus a dedicated Blockhead Motors sticker set designed by Jun Watanabe.

Under the body, the double wishbone suspension features transverse oil shock absorbers at the front and twin shocks at the rear, giving the model composed handling characteristics. A 540 motor is included to get you underway; the R/C system is sold separately.
