The Tamiya Sanding Sponge Sheet 320 (HC-87163) is a flexible, foam-backed abrasive ideal for fine surface preparation on plastic models, as well as finishing work on wood and metal. Its aluminium oxide coating delivers consistent cutting performance, while the 5mm sponge base conforms to curved surfaces and reaches tight corners with ease.
Measuring 114 x 140mm, the sheet can be cut to any shape or size using a modelling knife, making it versatile for a wide range of detailing and finishing tasks. It is also suitable for wet sanding to minimise clogging and achieve a smoother finish. This 320-grit version sits mid-range in Tamiya’s series, which also includes 180, 240, 400, 600, 1000 and 1500 grits.
