Traxxas TRX-4 Sport with Traxx – Orange (TRX82234-4-ORNG)

Fitted with Traxx, the TRX-4 becomes a true all-terrain machine. The enormous contact patch and grippy treads shrug off deep mud and float across sand. Traxx also increases ground clearance and approach angles, enabling the truck to straddle larger obstacles and climb steeper grades.

The pre-installed LED light kit includes headlights, taillights, and a wide 28-LED rack-mounted light bar. Fully waterproof for all-weather use, the kit also features an injection-moulded grille and tailgate with integrated lenses for additional scale detail and rugged functionality.

The TRX-4 with Traxx comes with a full complement of scale accessories. A tough Expedition Rack is joined by a replica snorkel, side mirrors, traction boards, fire extinguisher, jack, and canisters for detailed realism. Inner fenders further enhance the truck's realistic appearance.

Traxx add over 16 mm of ground clearance to the TRX-4, positioning weight low in a manner similar to portal weights for improved stability. The effectively longer wheelbase also increases the breakover angle, providing additional stability when climbing steep grades.

Traxx is a high-performance track system built around an adjustable tension wheel that keeps the treads tight, while suspended road wheels conform to surface irregularities. Oil-filled dampers control rotational movements to keep the treads close to the surface.

Portal axles use gear reduction at the wheels to virtually eliminate torque twist. The Titan 550 motor's torque translates into straight, powerful forward motion rather than wasted energy that would twist the rig off the rocks.

TRX-4 is equipped with differential spools front and rear. Locked differentials keep both tracks travelling at the same speed, so that a slower-moving track does not dig down into soft surfaces such as sand. The front and rear spool setup is designed to provide grip on challenging terrain including slick rock and mud.

The TRX-4 runs a single-speed transmission that is already set up for most driving conditions when used with Traxx. Steel gears are used throughout, designed to deliver Traxxas-Tough durability and virtually maintenance-free operation.

The TRX-4 is built on a heavy-duty formed-steel ladder frame with moulded cross members, creating an extremely rigid backbone. The thicker steel combined with the cross members is designed to provide a difference you can feel when navigating punishing, twisting terrain on the trails.

The XL-5 HV electronic speed control brings 3s LiPo capability to the TRX-4, while the powerful 21T Titan motor provides torque for steep climbs and all-out speed on flat terrain. Together they form an efficient power system that provides extended run time with a Traxxas 3s 5000 mAh LiPo battery pack.

Comfortable and precise, the TQ radio system is designed to be easy to use and delivers the reliability Traxxas is known for. Its advanced programming provides long-range control with smooth, glitch-free performance.
