Tamiya’s HC-58631 recreates the iconic 1999 two-door Subaru Impreza from the Monte-Carlo season opener, capturing its rally-bred lines in durable polycarbonate. Separate parts reproduce the rear wing and side mirrors, while the included sticker sheet provides the period-correct team and sponsor logos. The body sits on Tamiya’s adaptable TT-02 shaft-driven 4WD chassis, designed for balanced handling on road and flat dirt surfaces.
The TT-02 platform places the battery longitudinally on the left and the motor on the right for stability and simple maintenance. Identical left/right suspension arms and uprights ease assembly, and the chassis offers multiple setup options including two wheelbases, two ground clearance settings, two tread configurations and a wide range of possible gear ratios. Gold colour fin-spoke wheels are paired with rally block tyres for the right look and dependable grip.
A Type 540 motor and an Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) are included, making this a solid foundation for a classic rally build. Stickers, body parts and the TT-02’s robust drivetrain round out a kit that’s as enjoyable to assemble as it is to drive.

The 1999 version of the two-door Subaru Impreza rally car was a highly balanced beast, with 4-cylinder turbocharged all-aluminum boxer engine, a drive-by-wire throttle and semi-automatic 6-speed transmission. This R/C model assembly kit recreates the Impreza from the year's opening rally in Monte-Carlo, with the form faithfully depicted in durable polycarbonate, and separate parts used to recreate rear wing and side mirrors. Stickers are included to recreate the multitude of team and sponsor logos. The model runs on the adaptable TT-02 chassis, which is equally at home on road and flat dirt surfaces.
TT-02: Adaptable, balanced shaft driven 4WD
The shaft-driven 4WD TT-02 chassis employs a longitudinal layout with the battery on the left and the motor on the right, to give excellent stability. In addition, it features identical left and right suspension arms and uprights for ease of assembly, plus easy-to-maintain gearboxes. It is a highly adaptable chassis, as it offers 2 different wheelbases, 2 ground clearance settings and 2 tread set-ups in addition to a range of 10 possible gear ratios. It is not short on looks either, with brake disc-shaped wheel hubs and stylish front bumper supports. Gold color fin-spoke wheels are paired with rally block tires.

You would need one of the combos to get everything you need, the kit on its own will not come with a servo.
They are stickers.
We do list a couple of combos on the website so if you purchsed one of those you would have everthing to get this up and running apart from paint for the body shell.
Yes these take standard 540 size motors
Afraid we don't list an upgrade screw set for these.
However a number 2 philips screwdrive should be correct for most of the screws.
The standard ESC is NOT lipo compatible, only 7.2V NI-MH
The shocks are friction NOT oil Dampened.
