Description
The Tamiya Toyota Celica GT-Four RC (ST185) returns on the adaptable TT-02 chassis, celebrating one of Toyota’s most successful rally homologation specials. The real ST185 combined a 2-litre turbo engine with a water-based intercooler and an advanced 4WD system using a centre viscous coupling and a rear Torsen differential. This platform paved the way for Toyota’s first Manufacturers’ and Drivers’ Championship titles in 1993.
This 1/10 R/C model assembly kit (HC-58730) faithfully captures the curved, muscular lines of the Celica GT-Four RC in lightweight 1.0mm polycarbonate. The efficient shaft-driven 4WD TT-02 chassis offers stable, predictable handling, while 5-spoke wheels with tread-pattern racing radial tyres complete the period-correct stance. Stickers and masking stickers are included to support a clean, accurate paint finish. A Tamiya Torque Tuned motor and ESC are supplied.

Tamiya is delighted to announce the appearance of another classic racing car on our popular TT-02 chassis, this time the Toyota Celica GT-Four RC (ST185).
The Toyota Celica GT-Four RC was developed as a homologation car to take part in global rally races, and in 1992, 5,000 units were sold around the world. With its curved, powerful body, this car employed a 2-liter turbo engine with metal turbines and water-based intercooler system, which was capable of 235ps.
The 4WD system utilized a centre viscous coupling and a Torsen differential at the rear for superior controllability and traction. In 1993 global rally races, the Celica GT-Four (ST185) brought both Manufacturer’s and Driver’s Championships to Toyota for the first time.
