FTX GRAND APACHE 1/7 BRUSHLESS 8S TROPHY TRUCK - RED

There are not many greater challenges of man and machine than the iconic Baja 1000. Raced over the brutal terrain of the deserts of the California Peninsula in Mexico, the event is a thrilling off-road experience for drivers and fans alike.

The trucks that compete in the Baja 1000 are marvels of engineering, designed to withstand the harsh conditions of the race. With powerful engines, reinforced chassis, and advanced suspension systems, these vehicles are built to conquer the treacherous desert landscape.

It is this spirit that FTX has tried to capture with the 1/7th scale Grand Apache, offering RC enthusiasts a chance to emulate their heroes and experience a piece of the Baja 1000 from their own backyard. Whether racing against friends or tackling tough terrain on a solo mission, the Grand Apache embodies the essence of off-road racing and brings the thrill of desert truck racing to life in a smaller, yet equally exhilarating, format.

Just like its full-sized brothers, it’s all about power and the Grand Apache utilises the latest Hobbywing 8S rated 160A brushless speed control and 4274 kv1250 motor for potentially breakneck speeds. A 25kg rated metal geared steering servo along with the option to take advantage of the gyro receiver helps you stay in control.

Inspired by desert trophy trucks, the Grand Apache features numerous semi-scale features and details. Factory fitted LED front headlights and grill LED light bar, along with a roll cage mounted light bar help illuminate the way, whilst a rear light bar kicks in under braking. If you suffer a flat or blow out then two full function spare tyres mount to a sturdy rear roll cage assembly that also displays fire extinguishers, shock reservoirs, and engine cooling fans. Inside a detailed cockpit with driver, navigator and dashboard.

Internal wheel well fenders and side guards protect the chassis from debris, whilst front and rear super-duty bumpers and skid plates protect the chassis from impacts and heavy landings. Furthermore, if you are a little trigger happy, inset wheelie wheels in the rear skid plate assembly will help you keep control.

A heavy-duty aluminium main chassis and front to rear top brace protects where possible from flex and impacts. CNC 7075 T6 aluminium heavy-duty machined shock towers feature front and rear and are the mounting points for big bore, oil filled dual shock absorbers operating on each corner. CNC 7075 aluminium servo saver, motor mount, centre diff case and suspension mounting blocks also come fitted as standard.

Unlike the full-sized trucks, the Grand Apache utilises traditional double arm suspension set-up front and rear for better handling and cornering at scale speeds, with race proven pivot ball, multi-adjustable front suspension, front and rear anti-roll bars and shaped lower arms for a smooth underside, max ground clearance and strength. A weighty model like the Grand Apache needs damping to match so dual CNC aluminium front & rear shock absorbers soak up the rough stuff with ease.
