Kyosho Mini-Z AWD unboxing
Updated by Frank

The mini Z! I have and sold hundreds of these little detailed RC models. I have seen full racks of upgrades and spare parts whilst on holiday in Japan, but I have never used one. I have never seen one being used, I have never really looked at them as a good value for money RC due to the fairly high cost for the size of the model. Kyosho estimate that the scale is 1:27.52 which is very small.... and rather specific if you ask me so let's just say 1:27 scale. One of the things I love about these already is the huge variety of highly detailed bodyshells that are available Particularly of the JDM variety! And it just so happens I have a Autoscale HKS R32 skyline body that should go straight on to this chassis :)

So anyway, I decided to get one! Along with some recommended option parts, I have the gyro unit, the LED light set, upgrade motor and the speed house USB charger and AAA batteries ready to rock and roll. I also picked up some cheap AAA disposable batteries to do a comparison so stay tuned for that.
What do you get in the box?
So you get the chassis and body you decide to go for, in my case I have gone for the narrow long AWD chassis with skyline 2000 GT-R bodyshell.
You also get a nicely weighted but semi cheap feeling syncro transmitter.
You also Get a different variety of pinion and spur gears and a nifty little tool to change them along with a wheel wrench. You also get a handful of little cones so you can set a course in the front room and start hooning straight away!
I have spoken to a good few people about these little drifters and everyone has said great things about them so let's hope this lives up to the hype.
Overall everything looks OK, however the bodyshell is something else with the amount of detail it is, I am not looking forward to my first big crash with a skirting board.
I am really looking forward to getting this one charged up and hooning around.
