The Castle Creations 1515-2200Kv V2 sensored brushless motor (part no. M-CC060-0110-00) brings a complete rotor and stator redesign to improve magnetic flux, delivering higher efficiency, smoother start-up, reduced temperatures and longer run times. This eBuggy-focused variant is factory-fitted with 12AWG silicone leads and 4mm bullet connectors for a tidy, low-resistance install.

Input voltage range is 2S–6S LiPo (4S max when paired with Mamba X or Cobra 10 ESCs). The 4-pole, 12-slot architecture, precision sensors and Castle’s timing strategy provide consistent torque and a clean, connected throttle feel across the rev range.

You might be familiar with the brute 1:8 scale version of the 1515-2200Kv V2 (10AWG wire and 6.5mm bullets) that has overpowered buggies, truggies, on-road vehicles for years. Now we are offering our modified eBuggy version (paired with Mamba X 1:10 scale ESC, click here for details), tailored with pre-soldered 4mm bullet connections and 12AWG wire!

SMARTSENSE uses the motors sensors to start the motor to provide smooth starts, excellent torque, and low-speed drivability. Once the motor is turning, it seamlessly transitions to Castle's ULTRA- EFFICIENT sensorless mode. When running, a motor must transition between different load points and a different timing advance is required for optimal efficiency at all load points. Using mechanical timing adjustments alone, you can only target one driving condition, such as higher start power or higher top end speed. This sacrifices performance and efficiency during the other driving phases. Electronic timing in SMARTSENSE will advance timing automatically for peak performance during all driving conditions. This allows users to combine the best of both worlds in an unrivaled HYBRID between smooth sensored startups and high-efficiency sensorless drive.
