That wil be the very similar to the original it has more options for pinions as it is 48 dp though.
No that will not fit.
No that is just a different pitch (size of teeth) so you need to change the pinion for a 48 dp version at the same time if you do this ...there is no real benefit speed wise and the original gear size (0.6 mod) is stronger.
This allows you to use 48DP pinion gears, which will give you a wider range of choice of gearing.
