Yes this is the correct spur for the carnage, we would advise replacing the pinion at the same time and re aligning the motor
No, and I wouldn't recommend one if you can locate one.... Stick to plastic - better to change a £2 gear than risk damaging something harder to replace further down in the drivetrain

I'd usually advise sticking with a plastic spur - it's £3 if you break one, and prevents causing problems further down the driveline
