Description
The FTX Outback Mini X Rock Van 1:18 RTR (part FTX5480X) brings classic 1980s American van style to the trail in a compact crawler package. This latest Mini "XP" spec adds newly designed, full metal-geared portal axles front and rear for improved ground clearance, plus an updated 104:1 final drive ratio for smooth, torque-rich control.
A new 4-channel ESC/RX delivers silky low-speed throttle response, working with the brushed 050 55T motor to crawl slow and steady. With a chassis-mounted servo and panhard bar, aluminium rail chassis and a tight 80 cm turning radius from up to 45 degrees of steering angle, the Rock Van navigates indoor courses and outdoor lines with confidence and precision.
Scale details include moulded bumpers, hidden clipless body mounting, beadlock wheels, wipers and mirrors, while a 1.2 mm painted Lexan body with clear windows keeps the look authentic. The factory LED lighting system is controlled from the transmitter for realistic driving day or night, and extended run times of up to 45 minutes keep the fun going. Optional accessories such as inner body fenders, brass wheel weights and oil-filled shock absorbers are available separately to enhance performance and realism.

As well as recreating that classic ‘80s American van for that summer road trip or tour, this Outback Mini ‘XP” spec features brand new designed, full metal geared portal axles front and rear for improved ground clearance over similar scale models.
The final drive ratio has also been updated to 104:1 and along with a new 4ch ESC/RX unit with silky smooth throttle response, the Mini XP is ready to crawl slow, smooth and with a bucket load of torque.
With a tight turning radius of just 80cm thanks to a 45° steering angle, you can pretty much run a course anywhere you like, inside or out.
