Traxxas recommend this part when upgrading to 4s however in the Q & As above it’s mentioned it’s only 2s compatible? Thanks.

Yes that is correct as you can only use 2s on a track which is where center diffs are better, to use 3s you would use the slipper clutch instead which is better for bashing.

This is the centre differental kit so this replaces the slipper clutch, but can only be run on 2s lipo.

If you wanted a complete slipper set it would be this one. TRX6878

The spur gear is 54t,  this is the centre diff and only 2s lipo capable.
