As long as the connectors are correct then yes this will still work.
I wouldn't recommend running 3S on a brushed motor, and also wouldn't recommend Tamiya connectors for LiPo.
You'd be better soldering deans onto your ESC (and only using 2S)
Wire gauge is not quoted, but will be fine for that purpose.
