Customer Reviews
Hard to fault it at the price. Great combo for all around bashing, worth adding the Hobbywing control card for easy set up.
Running this Abisma brushless ststem in my Vaterra V100 on a 30T pinion and 2S, its perfect I really recommend
Brilliant, fitted this to my re released tamiya,it now hits 45mph,and brilliant service from wheelspin
I've put this in my re-released tamiya hotshot,WOW!!45 mph(timed with a garmin)and no damage to the hotshot drivetrain, will buy again, and can't fault customer service
I was hesitant about buying this for my hotshot re-release,I was getting 19mph with a black sport tuned motor, with 3300mah nimh,I was warned brushless would tear the car apart, but I bought this anyway, you can adjust the savagery of the acceleration, so it's set to low and geared for acceleration, now with the same 3300nimh it hits 25mph,with a 3c lipo it now hits 37.6mph,I'm on a 13t pinion,I've stripped and inspected the drivetrain, everything is fine, after an hour of quite savage larking about on dartmoor,I've now fitted a16t pinion so it may hit 40mph,ive also put motor braking and braking on soft modes,as long as you're not too stupid on the left stick I'm sure it would be fine on most cars, the speed ratings were taken from a garmin edge 520 cycling computer, which is mega accurate,i will be buying again for my other cars,i wont trust it I my re-re frog tho, very very happy with the price and service,I will definately be using this company again
Before i had put this in i originally had a 540 brushed 15t motor which at the time i thought was fast, however compared to this combo it didn't stand a chance.
Very easy to install and extremely fast so be careful :)
Questions & Answers
We would recommend this
HW38010203
This would be spot on for that car, you will need an adaptor to use a Traxxas battery with this. I would keep the gearing the same to begin with.
This would only really be suitable for an on road car - or at best a light weight off roader.
Yes that will fit your TT02, and yes should give a nice speed boost over a stock 27T brushed motor
Yes it will physically fit. Might be a bit low on power though
Yes that should fit, they are standard 540 size
No soldering needed on these, they are plug and play with deans connectors ready to go
Hard to quote a specific % increase, but it will last a lot longer than a brushed motor and should give a good bump in performance
It would fit, but it's not a crawler system.
Something like say HW38020252 or HW38020312 would be a much better choice in a crawler
This will fit yes - but it's 2S max
Yes
No way, sorry!
2S max on these
A bit underpowered really for that.
Take a look at say HW38010203
Yes that should be OK
Nothing especially - just as always, keep an eye on motor + ESC temperature and gear accordingly
Yes it will fit, it's standard 540 size
That would depend on what car it is?
Yes that should go in there
Yes, it will fit
Yes that should fit in there fine
Yes it'll fit that car - but no, it would be 2S max.
It's done via the led set up on set up function , the manual will talk you through all this .
Yes the motor is 2130005
These come with a deans connector
Yes, it's 50A continuous
These are splash proof
Yes that would fit
We don't sell that vehicle so can't really confirm. However these are standard 1:10 540 size so yes I'd imagine if it takes that size motor it will be fine.
Yes they work fine on NiMh.
Yes that would fit OK. Just check your gearing and gear accordingly to ensure motor and ESC do not run too hot.
Yes that will fit
YEs that should fit in there no problem and should be quicker than your brushed setup
I don't have a cable measurement on this, sorry.
I've never seen a vehicle they won't fit in mind - you can put the ESC wherever it works best for your setup?
Yes should do
Yes, basic waterproofing
Yes that should be OK
Yes that will fit and no they are plug n play
No it's 2S limit
Yes that would be a good first upgrade.
It would be an OK entry level system yes.
You could run a 2S Shorty LiPo
Yes it should fit
HW86020010 program card will work
Maybe say around a 20-22T to start with.
I'd strongly recommend sticking to 2S in these.
It will fit, but realistically you'd want a higher power system in a vehicle of that weight.
Yes that should work fine in that model
Not on 3S I'm afraid - that's too powerful for a 3S in an off road car.
This system would be OK for 2S batteries in an on road car, but for 3S in an off roader you'd want to look at something more powerful such as say HW38010203
The stock settings will work fine out the box for most users... Any changes you want to make are really just for personal preferenc - eg drag brake, voltage cut off for LiPo, etc.
Yes that would fit fine in that car.
They are auto setup, so do not require programming to run with standard settings.
That's not a brand we sell, but from a quick glance it looks like it takes standard size motors, so yes it should fit fine.
It will fit, but realistically isn't powerful enough for a truck. Something like HW38010201 would be a better choice.
This is going to be a bit underpowered in a Slash.
Some better alternatives would be say:
- HW3801020
- P-CC010-0123-02
- P-CC010-0164-05
It's not really beefy enough for a truggy
Some better alternatives would be say:
- HW38010200
- P-CC010-0123-02
- P-CC010-0164-05
It will fit, but you may find it a bit underpowered for a model of that weight.
Something a bit better and more suitable would be say HW38010200
You can program these using the HW86020010 program card.
Yes it would physically fit - but will not really be suitable for a car of that weight.
You would be better with something with a bit more power such as say ET0420 or ET0425 as entry points.
This is a 10T Motor
Not really - this would only be suitable for lighter cars and buggies - not an MT especially running a bit more weight.
It's not really beefy enough for the Slash.
Some better alternatives would be say:
- HW38010200
- P-CC010-0123-02
- P-CC010-0164-05
Yes this would be fine in an HPI E-10
3S LiPo max, but that will depend on your vehicle weight and gearing. 2S would be our recommended maximum for most cars.
Yes, it would be fine in a T4
Yes, very easy - it's the same mounting as a standard 540 brushed motor.
It's standard 540 size, so I'd imagine would fit.
Obvioulsy, go easy to ensure you don't rip the transmission apart in an older vehicle!
It would be a little underpowered in an Amp.
It's a basic combo, but yes it would fit in your B44.
As with all systems, it's important to keep an eye on motor/ESC temperatures and ensure gearing is appropriate.
Yes this woudl be OK - we'd only stick to 2S on this entry level system.
It would fit, however it's not really beefy enough for a truck of that size. It would be better suited to lighter weight on road cars, or small buggies.
Yes this would be fine in a touring car. Capacity of the LiPo won't have any affect on speed, just runtime... So we'd go as large as you can afford - 5000mah for example would give good runtime.
We're not familiar with that car, so couldn't really advise.. However yes if it takes a standard 540/550 sized motor then this should fit without issue.
Yes, this would fit - it's the same size as a standard 540 motor.
Batterywise, most batteries out there are still the same size as 7.2v stick packs. You could run a LiPo such as say VZ0317
Yes, it would fit - however it's primarily designed for lighter touring cars and buggies rather than trucks. Ideally you'd want to go for a better system than this for a truck such as that.
If you did run it, please keep an eye on your motor and ESC temperatures and gear down accordingly.
A 2000mah battery would work, but would give reasonably short runtimes.
Yes it will technically fit, however it's not really powerful enough for a car of that weight.
It would technically fit, however it's a bit underpowered for a truck of that size.
Technically it would fit, however it's designed for lighter cars than the Dominus. You'd need a beefier system for that truck.
Battery life would depend heavily on what car this is fitted to and the battery you choose.
Note, this would not be anywhere near suitable for a large car such as the T-MAXX, it's a basic entry level system designed for touring cars.
On say a 3000mah lipo you could expect a runtime of around 15 minutes. On a 5000mah lipo we'd estimate around 25 mins or so.
Yes, this would fit most 1:10 cars including your Maverick.
Whilst it would bolt in place, we'd recommend you go for a more powerful system for a truck of that calibre.
2S is the sweet spot. 3S is only workable in smaller, lighter models with short gearing.
It would technically fit in most 1:10 crawlers, but it is not a crawler system and not something we'd recommend.
Yes, this would fit an HPI Sprint.
No, you can use this with pretty much any receiver.
It should work fine in your ECX Ruckus.
Yes, it would fit
