will this fit into a brushed Vantage 2.0 If not, what LIPO do you recommend as i understand the Brushed can take a LIPO
Kieran Gray / 5th September 2025

Yes that will fit but you will need this ET0817

How many amps should I set my charger to when charging this battery It ranges from 0-5A
Fiontan Reed / 22nd May 2025

That would be 2.5 amps ;)

Hi; am looking to change my Original Tamiya Wild Willy away from MSC /and it's original battery. What battery / esc combo would work?
Joe Higham / 20th October 2024

If you would like to use a 2s lipo and modern ESC then I would go for a round case lipo like this: SCH-CR293

Along with this ESC: HW30120203

Make sure the ESC is put in lipo mode - you may also need a suitable lipo charger if you do not already have one.

Rich @ Wheelspin Models
Hi I have a brushless RC car and I currently run it on bashing 7.4v and 50c and 5500 lipo battery would your lipo 40c deans battery work with my car?
Max Harvey / 29th July 2023

Hi a 5000 50c battery is 250 amps a 2500 40c is 100 amps also the 2500 will be half the runtime of the 5000 .

Steve @ Wheelspin Models
Would this battery suit a replacement for a 7.2V NiMh ?
Andy / 8th June 2022

It would fit fine as long as the esc is lipo capable and in lipo mode also you would need a lipo charger.

Steve W @ Wheelspin Models
Will this battery fit a tamiya racing fighter?
Leon Tatam / 3rd January 2021

I'd stick to round case batteries in that, eg C-49440

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Would this suit as an upgrade for a HPI Maverick ION? Would I need to change the connector? Or can you recommend a better charger for the standard Maverick batteries please?
Tom / 3rd December 2020

No, this won't fit the Ion's I'm afraid - it's way too big.

With regard to a charger for the Ion's nimh battery - we use NX84 or ET0208 with an ET0821 adapter.

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
I own a FTX Brushed Bugsta, would a lipo batt go straight on? What are the benefits? Thanks
Darrell / 3rd November 2020

Yes it will connect up - you may however want to change your ESC connector to deans. Also make sure to set the lipo cut-off on your ESC

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
I have accidentally bought this for an RC plane, will it still work for an flight ESC that matches its specifications?
Christian / 11th November 2019

Yes, should still work fine - so long as it's not too heavy

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Will it work with a tamiya
Kev / 27th May 2019

Sure... it would work with pretty much any car. You will however need to ensure your ESC and charger support LiPo batteries.

I am looking to buy an additional battery for Ripmax Across 1/12 4WD Rock Crawler RTR, will this fit ?
Campbell / 11th September 2018

No, you need O-GERC000123 for the Ripmax Across.

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
will this fit 1/18 scale losi
Martin Hall / 8th June 2018

No, this is a 1:10 scale pack. Measurements are shown as 138x46x25mm

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
approx how long of run time should this battery give with Axial RR Bomber?
Dror Cohen / 16th April 2018

Very hard to say, but average use in crawling would give maybe 15-20 mins or so

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Will 2 (in series) Voltz 2500mAh Hard Case LiPo - 2S 7.4V 40C - Deans fit the battery tray in a Hobao SSTE? I run softcase at the moment.
Philip Luxford / 12th February 2018

These are standard sized packs so should work fine in your SSTE
