Well made and perfect for the job (replacement for a Rustler VXL-3s that turned out to be slightly less waterproof than I hoped). One thing to point out - the Max10-SCT that I received was fitted with an XT90 battery connector, despite the spec showing that none was fitted. I assume removing this will invalidate a warranty, so a converter will be required if you have non XT90 batteries.

Can this be paired to the velineon vxl-3s motor without or do I need to change connectors if so any recommendations? thanks
Cameron Robertson / 11th October 2022

This will run the motor but you would need to change the bullets to 3.5mm

Steve W @ Wheelspin Models
Curious if this would fit in the TT02 chassis if not any recommendations are appreciated thank you
Michael / 20th July 2022

The standard Max10 would be the system to look at for that chassis :)

Frank @ Wheelspin Models
Would this be ok as a replacement for the traxxas maxx 4s as the velineon vxr burnt out due to water? Thanks
Marshall / 30th June 2021

I think you'd be better looking at a MAX8 to be on the safe side HW30103200

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Hi, Is this compatible with 7.4/6v Lipo batteries? Thanks
Scott Braithwaite / 23rd April 2021

Input is 2S - 4S Lipo, so 7.4 - 14.4V

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Hi there, Would this Hobbywing ezrun 120a be ok on ftx carnage 2.0 with 4300kv 9t motor? Thanks.
George / 18th March 2021

Yes, that should be fine

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Im running a 26t and 64t would that gearing be ok
Phillip Wickens / 3rd February 2021

Not something we can advise on just from that sorry - it would depend on your chassis weight and driving style.

My advice would be give it a shot and monitor temperature etc to see how you get on and gear accordingly

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Hi, it says in the specs that I should be able to do 4s, would that be ok and if not, could you recommend a different esc
Alex / 24th January 2021

In theory, yes - with a suitable low KV motor and a light weight car.

In most setups 3S would be your go-to on this

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Would this work as a upgrade for the esc in a maverick quantum mt flux and would it be compatible with the standard motor
Sulli / 26th December 2020

Yes, that would make a nice upgrade

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Will this ESC work when completely submerged in water ?
Andrew Henley / 18th May 2020

Yes, but submerging is not recommended

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Can this esc handle a 3.5t motor please?
Craig / 8th May 2020

Yes so long as current is below 120A

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Hi there, does this esc have a sensor socket to run a sensored motor? I'm assuming that it does.
Neil Hepworth / 6th April 2020

No, these are sensorless

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Will this fit into the maverick Timberwolf ??
Don / 2nd April 2020

Yes, that should work well

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Hi there, I have a question with regards to the Hobbywing CML Hobbywin Ezrun Max10-Sct 120A Esc. I have a 6T Speedpassion motor which I need a compatible ESC for. Is this one suitable? If not, can you recommend one suitable for racing. Many thanks, Neil McCann
Neil Mccann / 2nd January 2019

This can deliver 120A, so should be OK for a 6T motor in most setups.  As always - keep an eye on temperatures and gear accordingly.

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Could you buy adaptors for a velineon motor and get pre souldered battery wires?
Josh Barrott / 24th July 2018

This comes with 4mm bullets, your Velineon motor likely has 3.5mm bullets so you would need to chop those off and solder on something like RDNA0272

No battery connector is fitted to these, so you would simply solder on your choice. We can do this for you (at a small extra charge) if required.

Ben @ Wheelspin Models
Hi Will this run a 3.5turn brushless motor on 3 cell lipo?
Sam / 24th April 2017

That depends on the current draw of your 3.5T motor - this ESC has a max limit of 120A, so I would imagine it should be fine with most 3.5T motors.
