Traxxas ESC lipo mode setup
When using any Traxxas car the standard ESC can be run on lipo batteries, when you do this the ESC need to be put in “lipo protection mode” the ESC has a led on it
If the led is
RED - lipo mode turned off
GREEN - lipo mode turned on
You can toggle between the two modes by following these steps
1, Power on the transmitter then turn the car on ( this is done by pressing then releasing the button on the ESC )
2, Once the ESC is turned on, note the colour of the led, if red lipo mode off, if green lipo mode on.
3, To change the mode press and hold the on/off button on the ESC for 15 seconds

4, There will be an audible beep and the light will change colour
Once the lipo mode is turned on, you can use the car, when the lipo protection mode cuts in the car will lose power
Dropping to half speed and having no punch on acceleration, this is the car telling you that lipo protection mode has been activated and to stop using the car.
You can then remove the battery from the car and charge it back up.
