What other components will I need to upgrade to this brushless motor in my vantage 2.0

You need a combo so motor and esc , i would use this combo with motor and esc ROBR01250 that will be a straight swap and can run 2s or 3s lipo.

Does this work well with a 3S LiPo? If not what other motor would you recommend?

They will run 3s however you have to be very carful on gearing and temperatures. High temp kills these motors quickly.

I would suggest that it wouldn’t be a good idea to run them on 3S.

Instead, why not go for some of the Castle Systems that are 3S rated?
