It allows the centre gearbox to be accessed without removing the chassis plates: remove six screws and lift off the top case for quick transmission maintenance. Access holes for both the 2-speed transmission and the optional 3-speed transmission make it possible to adjust shift points from the outside—open the rubber cap and tune.

The centre gearbox can be accessed without removing the chassis plates. Just remove six screws and the top case lifts off for quick and easy transmission maintenance. Access holes for both the 2 speed transmission and the optional 3-speed transmission allow shifting point adjustment from the outside. Just open the rubber cap and tune the settings.

Hi, is this backward compatible to fit into original TVPs like the savage 21 version please? Thanks.

I believe so, as it is listed for the Savage 3.5 (which is esentially the Savage 21). Although as the 21 is now pretty old, I cannot 100% confirm.
