SKy RC TORO ESC combo Info

The SKY RC Toro TS50 combo is a reasonably priced Motor 

And ESC combo set is simple in design, with a waterproof electronic switch, specially designed for beginners, suitable for 1/10 Buggy and Touring car. The motor is powered by 4-6S NiMH or 2S LiPo batteries, and it can work with a BEC of 6V/2A

TS50 ESC will work in full sensored mode when working with a racing motor, which allows the racer more operability and flexibility to control.

The TS50 ESC is designed with a built-in reverse-voltage protection circuit to protect the ESC components from the reverse battery connection.

I am currently running this system in my Kyosho legendary beetle and I have been impressed with it overall however there are a couple of important things to note with this system. 

Firstly Out of the box the ESC comes in “race mode” meaning reverse is disabled. No major problem if you are running it in a race chassis as you are not allowed to reverse on track for obvious reasons. But what if you want to run it in something that you can use reverse, such as a Kyosho beetle? Well this is what I found out the hard way, you can program reverse on the ESC however unlike other systems such as Hobbywing, you can not program the ESC directly, instead you have to use a SKY RC Toro program that is not included in the box. Unfortunately that means by the time you have purchased the program card you are moving into Hobbywing max10 territory in terms of price, and overall I think the max10 Is a more universal system.

overall to those that are considering it, its not a bad system at all it’s just I think SKY RC got a few things wrong with the design and programmability.
